House Republicans Plan Climate Legislation
Last week, the Washington Examiner reported that U.S. House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) will soon roll out a series of bills, including legislation on clean energy innovation to support carbon capture and advanced nuclear technologies, as well as critical infrastructure and natural climate solutions.

Third Way published a blog, “How Advanced Nuclear Got on the Map,” which discusses their involvement on nuclear policy and how the commercialization of U.S. advanced nuclear will be a victory for mitigating climate change and for the U.S. economy. The blog also references how other NGOs, including ClearPath and ClearPath Action, have led the charge in making bipartisan progress on climate, including our role in influencing the concept of the Advanced Reactor Demonstration Program (ARDP).

The Hill: Give Republicans the climate credit they deserve
Former House E&C Chairman Greg Walden and ClearPath Executive Director Rich Powell wrote an op-ed for The Hill over the weekend explaining how Republicans have made tremendous strides on climate.

Cement and concrete are used in everything from roads to buildings. Since their time-tested recipes create a significant amount of carbon dioxide emissions as a byproduct, efforts are now underway to reduce the product’s carbon footprint. Around the world, about eight percent of carbon emissions can be traced back to cement and concrete production.
