Fusion Advanced Manufacturing Parity Act
H.R. 5441
H.R. 5441
09/17/25
The Fusion Advanced Manufacturing Parity Act extends the Advanced Manufacturing Tax Credit (45X) to include fusion energy components, providing incentives to companies building manufacturing facilities for these technologies in the United States.
This legislation provides a 25 percent production tax credit for fusion machine components manufactured in America and adds fusion-relevant materials to the 45X critical minerals list. This support aims to incentivize domestic fusion energy manufacturing, create high-paying jobs in the United States and strengthen energy and national security.
Fusion energy promises abundant, clean and reliable power. The U.S. leads the world in this technology, but American innovation is vulnerable to foreign supply chains, particularly China, which invests billions each year into fusion energy. Without this legislation, the U.S. risks ceding leadership in both fusion technology and its manufacturing supply chain to international competitors.
This bill ensures American fusion innovations are manufactured at home, creating jobs, securing supply chains and maintaining America’s competitive edge in the race for next-generation energy dominance.
This legislation demonstrates that the U.S. must not only develop fusion technology to effectively compete with China and meet our energy needs, but also needs to develop the supply chains that will support it.
