Washington, DC – Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2026 – ClearPath Action released the following statement on the release of the Bipartisan American Affordability and Jobs Act.
“Our current federal permitting system is the largest obstacle to building the clean, reliable and affordable energy technologies needed to meet rising demand,” said ClearPath Action CEO Jeremy Harrell. “This long-needed bipartisan deal will let America build. Negotiators on both sides of the aisle have put an extraordinary amount of effort into this bill, and we look forward to working with them to get it to the President's desk."
More than $1 trillion of new infrastructure projects are held up by an outdated permitting system. The Bipartisan American Affordability and Jobs Act builds on the work of House Republicans earlier this Congress to set clear timelines and rules, giving developers the certainty they need to move projects forward.
ClearPath Action looks forward to working with the Senate to get more affordable, reliable power on the grid.
